About Our TASER Class

About our TASERS Classes at NM TASERS And More Training LLC.

Our two-day TASER Training Course is intentionally structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of both the legal responsibilities and practical realities of carrying and deploying a TASER conducted energy weapon. This course goes far beyond basic familiarization and is designed to ensure participants are fully informed, confident, and defensible in their decision-making.

The program includes an in-depth review of use-of-force law, civil and criminal liability considerations, policy implications, and real-world case examples related to TASER deployment. Students learn not only how to use a TASER, but when its use may be legally justified—and equally important, when it is not.

Live cartridge deployments are a critical component of this training. Students observe and participate in controlled deployments to gain a clear understanding of probe spread, distance considerations, targeting, and environmental factors that affect TASER effectiveness. This hands-on exposure ensures students understand exactly how their device functions under real-world conditions, not just in theory.

Unlike short, checklist-style courses, we do not offer a four-hour class and consider the training complete. Our extended format allows time for meaningful instruction, repetition, scenario discussion, and practical skill development—resulting in safer, more competent operators.

We also maintain strict equipment standards. We do not certify the TASER Pulse for duty carry. The TASER Pulse was never designed or intended for professional duty use. One of the primary concerns is its 30-second cycle, which provides no verifiable method to demonstrate that only a five-second cycle was delivered—an important consideration in professional and legal review.

By contrast, law-enforcement-grade TASER platforms such as the X2, TASER 7, and X26P allow for detailed data downloads, including function checks, deployment records, cycle durations, and system diagnostics. This data is critical for accountability, documentation, and post-incident review, and is a key reason these platforms are appropriate for duty use.

Our course combines structured classroom instruction with hands-on practical training, ensuring participants leave with both the knowledge and the applied skills necessary to operate a TASER responsibly, professionally, and defensibly.
